Karachi is located in the south
of Pakistan on the coast of Arabian Sea. It is the financial
and economic hub, and the largest sea-port of the country. It
possesses a versatile range of industries, and is home to the
offices of major local and multinational corporations. It has
recently been declared as the most business-friendly city of
Pakistan
[1]. It also hosts numerous

Busses are the most economical means of getting around within
Karachi, and the extensive network ensures that reaching the
farthest corners of the city is possible. Taxis are also
easily available almost everywhere, while call-service luxury
cabs can also be used for moving to places within, and even
outside the city. For shorter hops, ‘rickshaws’ are an
economical and interesting ride experience.

Karachi is also known as the ‘City of
Lights’ for its vibrant nightlife, with a broad spectrum of
restaurants and cafes that remain open late into the night.
They present a menu that satisfies a vast variety of tastes,
ranging from traditional Pakistani food to Chinese, Thai,
Mexican and European cuisines. The Clifton beach is well-lit,
and remains open and active hours after the sunset. There are
also many cultural shows and events taking place from time to
time at various venues in the city.

Climate |
|
Karachi has a mild climate, with relatively high humidity
level due to close proximity to the sea. The summer is
generally hot, with temperature reaching as much as 45oC,
while the winters are mostly very pleasant. Karachi is known
for its cool sea breezes that relieve the heat of hot summer
days. The winter months (November to February) are generally
considered to be the best time to visit Karachi. The average
temperature in November ranges between 31oC high
and 18oC low.
